Comfone opens sales office in Singapore

Comfone has the great pleasure to celebrate the opening of its third regional office in Singapore. After having benefited from being closer to our Latin American customers from our office in Rio de Janeiro and our Central Asian customers from our office in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, Comfone is now establishing a local presence in Asia too.

Comfone presents its representatives in Singapore:

Roberto Carfagno, Vice President Asia Pacific

Roberto started at Comfone as Sales Director Africa in 2001. For about 3 years, he managed the local market and its customers with big success. Roberto helped Comfone in gaining an ever bigger market position in Africa.

In 2004, Roberto decided to take care of the Asian market. He has contributed fundamentally to Comfone's successes in Asia. Due to his excellent knowledge of the market and the telecommunication business, Roberto realised great relations to the Asian customers and supported Comfone in extending its market position in Asia.

Since January 2006, Roberto is permanently located in Singapore. Besides the regions Australia, Pacific Islands, Papua New Guinea and Singapore, he also takes care of the North American market.

Ng Soo Tzer, Area Sales Manager

Soo Tzer joined the Comfone Asian team in late 2004.

He is a Chinese Singaporean origin and has graduated in Electrical Engineering and post graduated in Marketing, Accounting and Finance.

Thanks to his great experience in the telecom arena and his great market knowledge, Soo Tzer is a great support for the Asian customers. Having extensively travelled throughout the US, Western Europe and Asia, Soo Tzer is also an accomplished linguist speaking English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Hokkien.

Soo Tzer main emphasis is Indochina (i.e. Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Bhutan). Furthermore, he also takes care of the Philippines and Brunei.

Calvin Yew, Area Sales Manager

Calvin joined the Singapore based office in 2005.

With a degree in Information Systems & Computer Science, Calvin began his career as a Systems Analyst. He was building up his experiences into the telecoms sector as a Corporate Account Manager where he was responsible for major corporate accounts of telecommunication service providers within the scope of networking communication solutions.

As a fluent English, Chinese, Cantonese and Hokkien speaker and with his broad experience and knowledge of the Asian telecoms market, Calvin is already a valuable member of Comfone's growing sales forces.

Calvin is mainly taking care of North Asian customers (i.e. China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao, Japan, Korea). Besides, he also supports Indonesia, Laos, East Timor and Singapore.
