Peering

Peering broadens coverage even further.

GRX providers interconnect their networks between themselves and this is called peering. To enable operators connected to one GRX to have interworking with all operators that are connected to a second GRX peering is required on the IP backbone network and on the MMS relay level. With peering, there is no need for the operators to have either a commercial or technical direct relationship with the second GRX.

• Peering on the IP backbone (access) level:
Comfone has established peering relationships on the access level with all major MMS Hub providers via a GSMA peering point. Please refer to our Peering List for more details.

• Peering on the MMS relay level:
To allow peering on the MMS relay level, Comfone plans to interconnect to all other major MMS Hub providers.
