Designed to meet the strict security requirements of GPRS operators, the network architecture has been separated 100% from the public Internet. No information at any time passes onto any open or public infrastructure. Operators are protected against security hazards such as denial-of-service attacks, which can occur when sites are connected to the public Internet and unpredictable overload situations.

The GRX network is secured through a proactive security program, which is audited annually (SAS 70) and committed to making continuous improvements. A comprehensive peering gateway security program is also in place.
