Today, the Key2roam Platform boasts 600+ members and offers roaming and interworking connectivity to all GSM mobile network operators worldwide.

Comfone proudly employs around 115 people from more than 40 different nationalities. Our cultural diversity is the cornerstone of our company culture and drives our creativity, consistent innovation, drive and understanding of our global market.

The majority of staff are based at Comfone’s headquarters in Bern, Switzerland with the remaining working from our global regional offices, following the sun to ensure 24 hour service to all of our customers.

Where are you from and how did you end up at Comfone?

I was born in the United States, and have spent the past 27 years living abroad. In that time, I’ve held a number of positions with different mobile telecommunications vendors and providers. Comfone was an ideal career step for me.

 

What do you do at Comfone?

I’m responsible for sales activities and customer account management in Western Europe.

 

What about Comfone do you love most?

From my first day on the job I’ve been impressed by the highly professional and pragmatic approach at Comfone. I sense that everyone here works to provide our customers with the best possible services. Our customers sense this, as well, and I love happy customers!

 

What’s your favourite international destination?

There is still much of the world I have yet to discover. However, I always enjoy visiting Asia and have a warm spot in my heart for Sweden, especially in the summer!

Where are you from and how did you end up at Comfone?

I am from Armenia. I worked there for a leading mobile operator for many years. In August 2010, I had the opportunity to participate in a one-week roaming training organised by Comfone. This training turned out to be quite interesting and useful for all delegates. We also had the chance to discuss various topics that were important to our company with the technical experts of Comfone. Upon my return to Armenia, I organised a presentation for the management about my findings during my visit to Comfone and after a short while, the company migrated its Financial Clearing to Comfone. In 2012, I had another great opportunity, this time to participate in ConneXion. I was very impressed by the professionalism of the entire Comfone team. The event was very well organised. The delegates had also a great time visiting various beautiful parts of Switzerland. In 2015, after my migration to Switzerland, I was very happy to gain employment at Comfone.

 

What do you do at Comfone?

I am a member of Financial Clearing team. On daily basis, I take care of many financial tasks like dealing with invoice validations, payments, credit collections in favour of customers, FOIR reconciliations and taking care of the various concerns of our Financial Clearing customers.

 

What about Comfone do you love most?

I love ConneXion!

 

What’s your favourite international destination?

I have many. Perhaps Monaco and Italy; especially Venice, Rome and the Amalfi Coast.

Where are you from and how did you end up at Comfone?

I am from Scotland originally and have lived in Switzerland for almost 20 years. I have worked for Comfone for most of those years after my arrival in CH and looking for work in International business and to put my Information Management skills to use.

 

What do you do at Comfone?

I work as a clearing coordinator in Financial Clearing department and for our Key2roam Hub. I take care of a variety of tasks all within the realm of roaming connections, data clearing support, administration and facilitating IOT discount handling on our Key2roam Hub. Multi tasking and variety are the key aspects!

 

What about Comfone do you love most?

First and foremost it has always been about the people at the heart of Comfone. A multicultural mix of friendly faces, interesting characters, and a familiarity which is really quite unique. Secondly Comfone has always offered me the chance to develop my skills and knowledge in a variety of areas from data clearing to Roaming Management, and Hubbing to Financial Clearing. One really has a chance to grow with the business so the rapport with the Company as a whole in its identity and people is just fantastic and there is never a dull day!

 

What’s your favourite international destination?

My favourite destination is India for its warmth, colour, people, intensity…I could go on but it feels like returning home when I visit there. In Europe I have to say that my favourite is probably my home town Edinburgh – one of Europes finest cities!

Where are you from and how did you end up at Comfone?

I was born in Serbia in 1987. Thanks to my parents, who pursued a great opportunity, we moved to Switzerland in 1991. Since then I have lived in Ostermundigen (BE) and consider myself a proud citizen of Bern. In order to follow my interests in the field of technology, I completed an apprenticeship as a commercial clerk at Swisscom. I then worked as a Sales Consultant and in parallel completed my business studies (HFW Bern) in 2013. After working at Interdiscount as Junior Product Manager, I was eager for a new challenge and that is how I ended up at Comfone, beginning on 1 October 2015.

 

What do you do at Comfone?

I am responsible to ensure an efficient and fast cash-flow between my customers and their Roaming Partners, in relation to the profits they have generated on Roaming Traffic. My job includes several tasks, but of most importance is to ensure that our customers are satisfied and get paid by their Roaming Partners.

 

What about Comfone do you love most?

Definitely the spirit and the diversity in the company. There are many clever people from different cultures who all strive to give their best on a daily basis. This determination further improves our services and reputation. I find this very fascinating and motivating.

 

What’s your favourite international destination?

I have been to several places, but cannot decide which one I would consider my favourite. Probably the next destination?

Where are you from and how did you end up at Comfone?

I’m originally from Portugal. I moved from Portugal Telecom to Comfone in 2011 as I was looking for an opportunity to work abroad and expand my horizons. I started as Roaming Coordinator and currently have a dual position as Roaming Coordinator and Account Manager.

 

What do you do at Comfone?

I work in Comfone’s Key2roam Hub, the world’s largest Roaming Hub. I’m responsible for managing new Roaming Connections, defining priorities and meeting customers’ targets.

 

What about Comfone do you love most?

I love the multicultural environment. It’s great to work with many interesting people from various cultures. I learn a lot every day with such a fantastic cultural exchange. I also like the fact that Comfone gives you the opportunity to embrace different projects in parallel with your main job title.

 

What’s your favourite international destination?

It will probably be the next one that I’ll visit! I’ve never been to a country where I have said that I wouldn’t want to go back.
